André LENGRAND

French impressionist painter (Fourmies, 1900 – Paris, 1984).
From the 1920s he frequented the painters of the Butte Montmartre and deeply immersed himself in the atmosphere of the time.
He loved paint in the old quarters of Paris, the quays of the Seine, the old Markets or the Latin Quarter.
He was the friend of famous artists like Utrillo, Gen Paul or Mac Orlan.
Collectors of his work are mainly in the United States and Japan.
André Lengrand is the grandfather of the painter Jean-Michel Lengrand.
Main personal exhibitions
In France before 1960, gallery des Orfèvres, Paris with Gen Paul and Maclet.
From 1960 at the Cambaceres Gallery, Paris.
In the USA, his work is reproduced and sold world-wide by the Donald Art Company since 1970.
